REVIEW OF: The Winter's Tale

"My favorite part of the play was at the beginning of the second act, when the old Shepherd and his son came to the shore and found Perdita during the thunderstorm. My favorite actor was Steven Carpenter who played King Leontes/the thief. He was the best because he was sad at the beginning then happy at the end. Basically his emotions were like a rollercoaster. The actor’s performance was interesting because you could actually see how King Leontes’s health began to decline over time because he lost his wife and son. The thief’s performance was also interesting because he always found a way to make the audience laugh, whether it was passing gas or stealing the Shepherd’s money, he could still make you laugh. The entire cast’s facial expressions were all convincing. The costumes made them look like they were actually from the Elizabethan times. The lighting made it seem like it was actually day and night. Plus when the lights flashed it looked like lightning. "
